Are there Language-differences between North and South Korea?

The difference between South Korean and North Korean is the difference between Maggie noodles of two different flavors. By that, we, Universal Translation Services mean, there is not much difference. The differences that are real credible basically come from the fact that the same language is spoken in two completely separated regions for many decades. And so some of the differences between their vernacular, vocabulary and other facets are naturally evolved and other are intentionally strengthened to be shown as the emblem of the distinction between the two lands.

One of these differences is the name both regions have given to their language. The South Koreans call their language Hangugeo and North Koreans call their language Chosŏnŏ. These two different names are given intentionally to establish strength and sovereignty by the two regions for their languages.

Vocabulary

Universal Translation Services says that the South Korean language is revolving and evolving through the Seoul dialect and as South Korea has a strong connection with the global community, Chosŏnŏ has many words of English language that have become a complete part of their language and vernacular. North Korea, on the other hand, have little or no interaction with the international community and thus take their language directions from Pyongyang dialect. Even if North Koreans derive words from other languages, these words come from the Russian language and not from the English language.

These differences are of course a culmination of decades of political strife, complications, and unrest. These differences are supposed to be superficial, but after many decades of serious enforcement; they have turned the South and North Korean rather different from each other.

Written Language

Universal Translation Services think that the written language in both South and North Korea are called ‘Jamo’’. They look different and can be distinguished by the native speakers. These differences appear in vowels, consonants, and many other small differences. The various words are distinct individuals and without any specific rule. These very special differences make it hard for a foreigner to discern the written language between the two regions. They have to rely on a native speaker to show the distinction.

The differences extend to words as well. The South Korean language have more spaces while North Korean language pairs up word s much more frequently.

Spoken Differences:

The pronunciations by the two native speakers are clearly different, mainly because even their borrowed languages are different. Both the people speak the language, words, and vowels and consonants in many different ways from each other.

There are many differences as well as similarities between these two dialects of the same language. When hiring a translator, one has to keep these differences in mind and make sure that they are well presented and properly translated.
